The public association «Belarusian Republican Youth Union» is the successor of Belarusian Komsomol, Belarusian Youth Union, Belarusian Patriotic Youth Union, Belarusian Youth Union. The decision on its establishment was adopted on September 6, 2002 at the congress of the organization. A member of a youth organization may be a citizen of the Republic of Belarus, a stateless person or a foreign citizen permanently resident in the Republic of Belarus aged from 14 to 31, who recognizes the Charter and the programme of the Republican Youth Union of the Republic of Belarus.

The aim of the youth organization is to create conditions for the comprehensive development of young people, to unleash their creative potential and to promote the development of civil society in the Republic of Belarus on the basis of patriotic, spiritual and moral values. The Belarusian Republican Youth Union unites among its members young people who are ready to make their own efforts and use their abilities to make their lives and those of their peers more interesting, bright and meaningful.

Each of us has ideas, creative plans. You can implement them with your like-minded. Every young person should have the opportunity to be heard, to discuss their concerns with other stakeholders (peers, elders, experts, authorities), find out what he can do to solve existing problems, as well as get support for his further actions. Working together, we act not only as residents of our city, students of BSUIR, but also as representatives of all Belarusian youth. We feel that we are a part of our homeland, a part of the Republic of Belarus.

 

Activities

Patriotic education of youth:

 Formation of a patriotic citizen;

 Preservation of the traditions of the youth movement of the Republic of Belarus;

 Involving young men and women in socially meaningful and useful activities;

Preservation and enhancement of the cultural heritage of the Republic of Belarus, implementation of patriotic youth programmes and projects;

 Strengthening of the national security of the Republic of Belarus through the further development of the movement of youth law enforcement units;

 Implementation of the recommendations of the youth union leadership.

Youth employment:

Participation in the economic development of the country through employment of young people in student groups;

 formation and organization of work of visiting students' detachments both on the territory of Belarus and abroad;

assisting young people in self-employment.

Support for gifted and talented youth:

Development of youth initiatives in the field of innovation, science and entrepreneurship;

popularization of science, involving young people in scientific and technical activities;

active participation in the republican competition «100 ideas for Belarus»;

identification and support of talented youth through the implementation of cultural and recreational projects and programmes.

Healthy lifestyle:

formation of a fashion for a healthy lifestyle;

Prevention of negative phenomena among young people (alcoholism, tobacco smoking, countering the spread of drugs) through the implementation of targeted projects and programmes;

popularization of street sports;

further development of cooperation with youth subcultures;

 

Volunteering and volunteer movement «Good Heart»,

 dissemination of ideas of volunteer movement in directions:

training of volunteers, personal growth, «Personal book of the volunteer»;

Interaction with religious denominations;

cooperation with partner organizations, international cooperation;

 Consolidation of international youth living in the Republic of Belarus;

development of multi-vector youth international cooperation.
