Sustainable Development Goals and BSUIR

The BSUIR is committed to informing young people about the mechanisms for achieving sustainable development goals. Students take part in the republican competition «Youth ambassadors of the Sustainable Development Goals - the future of the planet in our hands».

Active efforts are being made to inform students about the mechanisms for achieving sustainable development indicators by curators in educational groups. To help curators during thematic curatorial and informational hours developed didactic and demonstration material: «The biggest lesson in the world», «Goals of sustainable development». Information on the ongoing work in the field of sustainable development is posted on the university website.

Youth Ambassadors of the Sustainable Development Goals in Belarus from BSUIR took part in the Forum «Innovations of Adolescents and Youth for the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals» with the participation of UNICEF, UNDP and UNFPA.

As part of the implementation of the international educational project «The biggest lesson in the world», the BSUIR holds seminars about the Sustainable Development Goals, discussion forums, organized interaction with educational institutions, joint work with public associations and organizations, international cooperation.

Goal 8: Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all

Objective 17: To strengthen the means of implementation and work of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development.

The university ecosystem is understood as a dynamic interdependent community (key and other stakeholders, representatives of the labor and educational services market, global environment), which, interacting through cooperation and competition, strive to combine their capabilities, agree on common goals to create sustainable value, success.

The University conducts systematic targeted work on expansion, involvement to joint activities of organizations of the real sector of economy, business community for the implementation of the National Strategy of sustainable social and the economic development of the Republic of Belarus until 2030, the provisions of the Programme for economic Development of Belarus and the sustainable development goals adopted by the Republic of Belarus to strengthen the position of competitiveness, attract investment and innovative development, export-orientation, informatization, employment, high competitiveness of youth. The top management cooperates constructively and efficiently with state structures (Ministry of Education, Communications, Finance, Economy, Energy, Health, Physical Culture and Sports, etc.), universities, enterprises of the real sector of economy, State executive bodies, public organizations, consumers and suppliers, forming and improving a dynamic innovation ecosystem both in the Republic of Belarus and at the international level.
